Miles Matthews created the walk cycle seen above. The animation shows a very interrupted motion, and this is mainly due to the frames being spaced inaccurately. Looking at the shoulder movements there is squash and stretch happening, but is very ragged due to the spacing issues. These spacing problems also affected the follow-through in the animation. The legs in the cycle seem to look very fluid, but at the end the right foot stops abruptly, and continues afterwards. When the arms, and legs begin there movement the torso, stomach, and hips appear to be left behind. These body parts not being in motion don’t help the belief that the character is moving accurately. The walk cycle does however show exaggeration, which is a big part of animation.
