Maps write up
History is an incredibly interesting subject, especially when it’s about war. When getting assigned this project I knew I was going to make a war map. I always liked maps and when I’m bored sometimes I would make them with a bunch of countries that had capitals and cities.
This map has cool colors in it, and one warm color, which show the division and creates contrast in it. the Lines are what makes up the map and show where the ends meet. The value of it helps the difference in the borders and brightens and shows where the campuses meet. The texture of the picture is very flat, smooth and a little edgy but doesn’t show how the actual terrain is which is what wanted because it’s not suppose to be a geographical map. The little negative space its has helps with the volume, which makes it seem that the colors are darker.
In my map there is balance when its comes to them being mostly cool colors and how they are in union, but not with the lines and in lack of balance they show variety. The same would go with balance and repletion, the line show the repletion and the balance is with the colors. The repetition is throughout with the elements of principle. There isn’t much movement in the image or emphasis.
